Connecting Blue Tooth devices to Jaaz Acoustics amplifiers

June 24, 2025
Jaaz Acoustics amplifiers are prepared for connection of Blue Tooth devices. These devices are suitable for reproduction of pre-recorded music materials from mobile phones during live performances. They are also suitable for reproduction of music during breaks between individual sets during live performances.

QuickBTR-5.0 is a portable Bluetooth receiver that allows you to stream audio signals wirelessly from your Bluetooth devices to Jaaz Acoustics amplifier. The latest Bluetooth 5.0 technology with aptX HD support ensures fast and stable wireless connections and high-quality audio. The stereo audio stream is output as a mono signal via the XLR plug. You can also wirelessly link two QuickBTR-5.0 together for stereo speaker setups, if you use two separate Compact amps as monitors for stereo reproduction.

Setup is simple. After plug QuickBTR-5.0 into the XLR Mic input of JA amplifier, pair your Bluetooth audio device and start playing. Mic input has to be switch to the mode "dynamic mic". Never conect the BTR 5.0 to the 48V phantom to avoid dammaging the BTR. The BTR output level switch must be switched to the 0dB level, the output volume on the audio signal source must be set so that the Mic regulator's control range is between "9 to 12 o'clock".

The internal battery keeps the receiver running for over 8 hours. Charging is via any USB power source and the included micro USB cable.

The USB socket on the rear panel of the JA amplifier is only used for charging the BT adapter. Battery operation of the adapters guarantees an undisturbed audio signal. Under certain circumstances, operating the BT adapter while charging may cause audible interference in the signal path. In such a case, disconnect the charging, or only operate the fully charged BT adapter using an external 5V/500 mA USB charger. Audible interference may also be caused by various BT adapters without isolated power converters. Such BT adapters without batteries are not suitable for use with JA amplifiers.

Stereo signal sources with a wired connection. Such signal sources can be laptops, mobile phones, recorders, etc. that have TRS stereo 3.5 or 6.3 jack sockets with a stereo signal output. The stereo potentiometers of inputs No. 5 and No. 6 on the rear panel are for mixing and adjust the ratio of the stereo signal and the master signal from inputs No. 1, 2, 3, 4 to the XLR outputs for active L+R monitors. The ratio of the signal to the mono master signal of the combo amp is controlled by the volume of the audio source.
